The Optimist Ulsters took place in the Royal North of Ireland Yacht Club, with a fleet of 100 Optimists traveling to the event. In trying conditions the race committee got three races in on Saturday but unfortunately the weather was not with them on Sunday. After an initial postponement, racing was eventually abandoned on Sunday.

A great weekend of racing was had by all at the Davy Munster Optimist Munster Championships last weekend in Kinsale Yacht Club. On arrival in Kinsale, Oppys can unload on the pier opposite the club. Once boats are unloaded please take your trailers to the Kinsale Equestrian Centre as indicated on the attached Map.
