Good bye Baltimore ! The training is finished for another year.
A big thank you to Aidan, Ciara, Thesera, Jim and all the team for organising a great week.
Information available shortly on the venue for next year.
The welcome was fantastic! The accommodation standard superb and the club couldn't have been nicer now all we need is wind!
Sunday: Wine & Cheese for parents and sailors met the pals and unloaded boats.
Monday: A wet start to the day with the forecast promising that the rain would clear by lunchtime. A gentle breeze perfect for beginners and those whose season was about to begin.
By lunchtime the rain had cleared and sun cream was the order of the day. The disbelieving Danes thought it unlikely they would get sunburnt in Ireland in February ....how wrong they were! The wind increased steadily to 12-16 kts slightly more than forecast.
The day finished with a tour of the castle and pizza night with coaches all were in agreement that the week was off to a great start.
Tuesday: No wind, poor visibility and drizzle but all remained hopefully of the wind coming in later.
The sailors had an early lunch ashore after an impromptu rugby match (Leinster won again!). At 1:30 the sailors launched and are to return ashore at 4:30pm
