Volvo Ocean Race Team Racing Event
Photo © Ian Roman/Volvo Ocean Race Next Year in 2012 Galway will host the finale of the Volvo Ocean Race and Oppie sailors get to be part of it ! The Volvo Ocean Race have invited a team of oppie sailors to take part in training and team racing event. This event will be fun fun fun ! The oppie sailors will get to meet the Volvo Ocean race sailors and tour the boats. This will be held from the 3rd - 5th July in Galway and the top 32 trials sailors will be invited to attend. One of each gender must be on a team of four. It is likely that the European and possibly international development team will be away during this time so more places may be available.
