Day one Bright and Sunny in Baltimore

130 oppie sailors and their families descended on the small village of Baltimore Co. Cork this mid-term.

So while most kids will spend mid-term sitting in front of an X-box our children have something much more interesting to do......GO SAILING !

As accomodation generally runs from Saturday to Saturday most families arrived on Saturday and this meant the kids (Yes the big ones too !) had yesterday to settle in and catch up with their oppie pals from all over the country.

The ever popular IODAI cheese and wine was held yesterday evening followed by registration

Day one dawned bright and sunny and the sailors made their way to the clubhouse for a 9am briefing

This year the Head coach is Maurice O'Connell (more commonly known as Prof!) he is highly experienced in running events of this nature so we are in safe hands.

Chief Organiser Aidan Staunton and his valued team have once again pulled out all the stops for what promises to be a fantastic week.

Next to the Nationals this event has become the hightlight of the oppie calendar.
