Reminder get your entry in for the Mitsubishi Motors Youth Championships

On-line entries are now being accepted for this year's Mitsubishi Motors Youth Championships being run jointly by the Royal St George and National YC's over the May bank holiday weekend.

This will be the biggest youth regatta in the country this year with upwards of 300 boats from seven different classes scheduled to race on three separate courses in Dublin Bay. The format for this year's event has been based on that of the ISAF Youth World Championships which will be hosted by Dublin Bay in 2012.. 

The Optimist Class will have 2 fleets on separate courses - the invitation trials fleet competing for World and European Championships and the championship fleet which is open to all Opi sailors that are not competing in the class trials.

The Laser Radial, Laser 4.7 and 420 Classes will be fighting it out for ISA team places too with the prestigious ISAF Worlds slots also up for grabs.

The Junior Pathway classes, Topper's and RS Feva's will also compete along with the SL 16 catamaran which makes its debut on the bay in preparation for 2012.
