Euromed Malta 2014
The ISA squad have arrived at Euromed Malta 2014. Team mum Deirdre Horgan (RCYC) and National Coach Thomas Chaix have everything under control. The setting is a beach sailing club opening into a wide but sheltered bay. There are sailors from 10 Countries here and many took the opportunity of arriving last Saturday to have a full week of warm weather training ahead of the regatta. Conditions have been ideal with a steady 12- 14 knots all week & sunshine. The sailing club have a team of helpers to help the event run smoothly and having a hotel 3 mins walk from the club has been ideal as kids don’t need transport & have a ready supply of food all the time. Sail Coach having been running a Laser 4.7 & Radial clinic all week in addition to supporting the Optimist sailors. Sail Coach is run & managed by Irish man Trevor Millar who is used to dealing with the Olympic sailors as well as those not so competitive. http://www.sailcoach.com/
