ISA Squad 2015
At the recent AGM in RCYC, Thomas Chaix spoke about ISA pathway and the Optimist squad, 420s, Toppers , and Lasers on the pathway . Only those that apply will be considered and it will be advertised on IODAI and ISA websites in the late august.There are Roughly about 12 – 18 sailors on squad. There may be a transition squad this year .The aim is have a Clinic over Halloween and a couple of weekend based sessions; 2 before and 2 after Christmas which alternate between Leinster and Munster .The ISA usually plans one event in Palma before Christmas but this may be reviewed .The ISA squad may attend Baltimore as a squad or introduce a session over Paddy’s weekend instead.The benefits for the squad is to introduce sailors to the ISA class pathway , give them time on the water and access to sports med for physiological development.
