What a way to end the racing season in MYC earlier in the month!
On Saturday, over 150 of us took the water in Broadmeadows, and it felt like summer had finally arrived. Throw in a good splash of breeze on Sunday and a few sausages on the BBQ, and it was a weekend that had it all!
It was great to see some of you take your first steps from the Racing Regatta Fleet into the Main Fleet, and I think you should be chuffed with yourselves for how admirably you performed.
As always (and this has been a consistent theme throughout the year), it was heartening to hear the Race Officers and Jury again talk about the feel-good vibes on the water and sportsmanship on show. Holly and Charlie got a deserved special mention in this regard. You make us all very proud!
There is plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
The Irish Sailing Junior Champions Cup is first up on and on this weekend in Schull. We wish Charlotte Crosbie, Maeve Donagh and Kate Spain the best of luck.
The Cobbler League in RCYC gets underway at the begining of October and runs on Sundays – everyone is very welcome! Keep an eye on the RCYC website for entries.
Just in case you were getting withdrawl symptoms from Malahide – the MYC Regatta is on the 13th October 2024 and entry is now open here
The overall rankings for 2024 have been published here, which means we know the u12 Team that will travel to the British National Championships next year in the Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy. The full team are listed here.
A huge congratulations goes to all the sailors! For many them it will be the first time they get to represent their Clubs and Country in international competition.

Entries for National Training Week at the Royal St. George YC (30th October to 2nd November) are now open and this one is going to be spooktacular! If you haven’t already entered, please do so soon so we can plan an incredible event for you!
