Registration for Trials 2017 close this Thursday
IODAI Optimist Trials 2017 are now open for registration. Please note only sailors who have met the qualification criteria (see below) for Trials already will be able to register.
Trials dates: April 20th to April 23rd 2017
Venue: Ballyholme Yacht Club , Seacliff Road, Bangor, Down BT20 5HT, United Kingdom
Closing Date : Thursday 6th April. Entry Fee is €120 per child.
Late Entry Fee of €240 up until 10th April.

The following are the conditions to qualify for Trials:
- Sailor must compete in the Nationals + (at least) 2 Regionals
- Scoring is the sum of Nationals place + 2 best Regionals placing (excluding non-Irish sailors)
- Senior Fleet: Top 40 (and ties) after taking out compulsory retirements due to age.
- Junior Fleet: Top 45 (and ties)
- Medical exemptions are considered on an individual basis and do not count towards the cap.
