RCYC team head to Monaco for Optimist Team Race Event
The Royal Cork Yacht Club is one of 16 teams from 11 countries invited to compete in the annual Monaco Optimist Team Race event. An original match race format for teams of four Optimist sailors it brings to the fore not just the sailors technical prowess, but tactics and above all team-work.
We wish the best of luck to this year’s team, which is comprised of Jamie Venner, Jonathan O’Shaughnessy, Cillian Foster and Michael Crosbie and coach John Durcan.
