Thank You!
Well done to all our Optimist sailors who sailed during the 2016 season. It has been a fantastic summer of sailing which has seen many sailors and their families pack up gear, boats, life jackets, dogs, tents, camper vans and the like to travel to the IODAI Regional events around Ireland in Baltimore, Dun Laoghaire, Howth, Lough Ree, Lough Derg, Foynes and Malahide and Cork.
Added to this our sailors represented their country with pride at many international events over the summer months in Poland, France, Italy, Scotland and Portugal.
A massive Thank You to all the parents, volunteers and sponsors who made this great summer of sailing possible. Literally hundreds of parents, past parents, grandparents, coaches, club members and friends from all around the country came out of the wood work to support our events all year. Your support was greatly appreciated.
A big welcome to all the sailors who were new to the IODAI regional events. We really hope you have enjoyed your summer of sailing, that you had lots of fun on the water and that you made new friends from around the country and the globe!
