Euromed Malta Day 3
The Irish sailors remain hopeful of some good results on day 3. There are four races scheduled for today as Race 2 from day one was thrown out on appeal by a large number of sailors. Wind conditions are much better today and after a short rain shower this morning the sun has returned. The picture above shows last nights debriefing “Under the stars” in the Seabank Hotel. Assistant coach Alex noted that Ireland has a lot of sheep, both the white woolly ones and the 16 Irish sailors who all followed each other to the wrong side of the beat twice yesterday!! Individual thinking is on order for today. The Irish sailors have been extremely well looked after by Team Mum Deirdre Horgan who has literally not sat down for 5 mins since she has arrive. Many of the organisers have commented on the good behaviour of the Irish Team, their politeness to all and the trolley labelling & general organisation so well done to Deirdre / Thomas & Alex, fingers crossed for good results today.
