Update on Irish Optimist Nationals entry and Regatta fleet.
Due  to social distancing requirements entry to the event has been limited  and the event has been over subscribed in pre-registration.  
At  this date 74 ranked sailors have been extended an invitation to enter  the event by email and the full event registration page will open  tomorrow (Wed) on IODAI.com to invitational sailors only. 
Each  entry in pre registration was time stamped.  Each pre-registered  sailor to date will receive an email.  Either an invitation to enter or  confirmation of the sailors number on the waiting list.  Minimum Junior  numbers will apply.
Pre-registration  remains open and eligible ranked sailors that apply for  pre-registration may be offered an invitation to enter, up until the  17th July, if places are available. 
All  open spaces in the event will be reallocated to the waiting list where  places are not taken up and this will be reviewed on Friday 17th July.    So please complete your entry promptly to avoid disappointment, if you  intend to enter. 
The  Main Fleet event is four full days of racing and RCYC are intending to  run the racing out side Cork Harbour in the open sea.  
The  Irish Optimist Nationals is also intending to run a regatta fun fleet  for less experienced sailors over two days Sat 15th and Sun 16th and a pre registration entry will open in the PM of Friday 17th on IODAI.com, on a first come first served basis.  17 of the 35 entrants  will be reserved for members of RCYC and 18 to IODAI members from other  Clubs.
