Nationals: Update on Irish Optimist Nationals entry and Regatta fleet.

Nationals
Update on Irish Optimist Nationals entry and Regatta fleet.
Due to social distancing requirements entry to the event has been limited and the event has been over subscribed in pre-registration.
At this date 74 ranked sailors have been extended an invitation to enter the event by email and the full event registration page will open tomorrow (Wed) on IODAI.com to invitational sailors only.

Each entry in pre registration was time stamped.  Each pre-registered sailor to date will receive an email.  Either an invitation to enter or confirmation of the sailors number on the waiting list.  Minimum Junior numbers will apply.

Pre-registration remains open and eligible ranked sailors that apply for pre-registration may be offered an invitation to enter, up until the 17th July, if places are available.

All open spaces in the event will be reallocated to the waiting list where places are not taken up and this will be reviewed on Friday 17th July.   So please complete your entry promptly to avoid disappointment, if you intend to enter.

The Main Fleet event is four full days of racing and RCYC are intending to run the racing out side Cork Harbour in the open sea.

The Irish Optimist Nationals is also intending to run a regatta fun fleet for less experienced sailors over two days Sat 15th and Sun 16th and a pre registration entry will open in the PM of Friday 17th on IODAI.com, on a first come first served basis.  17 of the 35 entrants will be reserved for members of RCYC and 18 to IODAI members from other Clubs.
Thank you for your interest in the event.
