Regatta Fleet Munsters 2014

                                                                                  Regatta fleet Report – Munster’s 2014-09-10               Congrats to all the regatta fleet sailors who took part in the Munster Optimist Championships in Tralee Bay. We received a warm welcome from our hosts in Fenit and we were lucky with the weather. Under the watchful eye of our OD Diarmuid , the sailors had to contend with light winds and tricky tides which presented their on challenges. Eight races raced in regatta fleet over the two days and the results from them left the following sailors in top positions. Ben Graf taking first place in the Regatta Fleet.Hugh Turvey achieving second place in the fleet.  Well done to all regatta fleet who competed in the event. This event brings the season to a finish. It also sees our head coach Kirsti O’Flynn move on from the fleet after two years of hard work and commitment to the regatta fleet sailors.

I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the regatta fleet team and IODAI to thank her and wish her every success in her future coaching career. You will be missed for your energy and enthusiasm.
